Embedded Software Engineer (Mid-Senior Level) – Fife (south) or Angus

The Role…

  • Work on a diverse range of projects within defence, medical, automotive, industrial, or telecommunications on real-time operating systems or safety-critical software solutions.
  • Each project has its own unique challenges, so you will have the opportunity to learn and grow in your career.
  • You will work on projects that have a direct impact on people's lives and are used throughout the world in various industries. From healthcare critical devices to automotive safety features, to develop a range of vital solutions to guide our clients in the right direction.
  • You’ll also collaborate with clients and internal engineering teams to build secure, high-performing, resilient, and efficient solutions. Define, iterate on, and improve best practices and help teams utilize them.

 

Who you are now…

  • You have 3+ years of previous experience in an embedded/firmware role with experience working with C and/or C++ and are eager to learn new technologies and ways of working.
  • You have an understanding of electronic schematics and the ability to troubleshoot firmware issues using tools such as an oscilloscope.
  • Ideally, you also have an understanding of communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I²C, and interfacing with external peripherals devices such as flash memory.
  • You appreciate the bigger picture and are confident to contribute your ideas to the team on new technologies, solutions, and delivery approaches. You will also enjoy working in a collaborative environment, working through challenges together and learning from one another.
